• The Water Act 2014 was amended to allow the introduction of competition to the whole of the non-household market inEngland and Wales from April 2017. The Market Reform transformation programme was Southern Water’s.
• Market Entry Assurance lead for Southern Water.
• Validation of all programme documentation, underpinning the knowledge transfer process.
• Production of management information and running steering group meetings.
• Provision of PMO support to the PMO Manager, latterly acting as PMO Manager at project close out.
• Management of programme risk register and risk management processes.

• The Construction Design and Management Regulations exist in the UK to ensure compliance with the EU Mobile Works Directive. They regulate the way construction projects are designed and managed. The regulations were.
• Development and embedding processes and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance with the revised Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015 across the £1,000m AMP 6 delivery programme.
• Development of materials to present Southern Water’s corporate positon to the Board, Directors and Senior Leadership teams across the business
• Development of materials to ensure all parties understood their duties under the revised regulations
• Stakeholder management of all parties involved in complying with the CDM regulations including the Senior Leadership team, Chief Engineer, Head of H&S, Project Managers and Supply Chain representatives.
• Collation of management information to enable measurement of performance against statute duties

• Southern Water operates in a regulatory environment and is required to produce a Business Plan every five years which is approved by Ofwat (the Regulator). This Business Plan sets out what the company will deliver over.
• Management of the delivery of research and insight activities both in-house and by partner research organisations t agreed cost, quality and time constraints.
• Supporting the delivery of the Company’s Strategic Statement and Business Plan through the delivery of robust and appropriate customer research
• Building strong and effective working relationships with research Service Providers, other members of the team, and internal and external stakeholders
• Development of research briefs and tendering of these with external service providers
• Development of internal research procedures and solutions to deliver key insight to inform strategic business decisions.

• Southern Water’s engineering capability, delivery of Developer Services and the CDM Co-ordinator capability under the Construction Design and Management regulations were at this time outsourced to six third-party.
• Management of the contracts within the Engineering Master Framework both onshore and offshore including the managing of changes to these contracts
• Measuring the performance of engineering contracts against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Representative from Assets in pandemic planning for Swine Flu outbreak
• Development of H&S plan for the Asset Management Directorate
• Establishment of improved processes for the procurement of engineering services – the Centres of Excellence procurement model

• Management of contracts set up within the Engineering Master Framework agreement.
• Key liaison with account managers of outsourced engineering work, both onshore and offshore.
• Monitoring performance against defined Service Level Agreements.
• Responsible for supporting the Commercial Category Managers throughout the procurement process.
• Worked with the PMO Manager to develop the first Commercial Project Management Office to support theCommercial function and provide key management information.
• Cash flow project – identifying ways of improving cash flow through a thorough analysis of customer debtcategories and implementing strategies to mitigate cash flow issues.

• Played a pivotal role in the successful completion of a number of projects to identify methods of increasing Southern Water’s non-regulated income streams
• Involved in the development of Southern Water’s Change Management Office with remit to review and benchmark various business processes with a view to outsourcing those with a more transactional nature.
• Participated it Southern Water’s first off shoring project (GSS Remediation Project), and additionally, with a number of other contracts for off shored business processes.
• Responsible for SW audit and quality assurance on the project to BS6000/6001 and working with KPMG during their audit of the project both onshore and offshore
