About Lucy Stanbrough

At WTW I focus on emerging and interconnected risks, helping people challenge the ways they think about and risks and opportunities. Nobody grows up wanting to work in the insurance sector, but it is the most interesting job that nobody knows about - I help connect perspectives, knowledge and people to help WTW transform tomorrows.I am a geographer, researcher, lover of facts, maps, and GIS, who believes in the importance of integrating scientific knowledge within business applications and helping people see connections between risks. I moved to the WTW Research Network to head up the Emerging Risks hub at the end of 2019, and try to comprehensively document my career pathway here so students/grads/etc can get a view on how a degree in geography has led me to where I am.
