Led and managed Prime Minister's Big Society Awards; working with No.10 Downing Street I managed the media, gaining coverage both nationally and locally, TV, print and online - to publicise the Awards and promote the winners. I managed the contract for the Cabinet Office: designed and led the programme, created and managed the network of winners; organised receptions at Downing Street, and other events including PM Direct Big Society debate which was televised live to Sky, BBC, Channel 4 and ITN. Set up Nexters programme for social tech entrepreneurs and managed the network with investors and tech.

In this non-profit organisation specialising in the use of innovative social media & tech, I was responsible for business development, operations, and communications - bringing in a number of long term projects and clients. Amplified was set up in 2008. We worked with social media, technology business, mobile communications, creative agencies and politicians, to solve business problems, create new businesses and conduct research in interaction design and usability for emergent technologies. We set out to help people talk about the things that matter to them, and to enable their conversations to reach out and involve others in a way which shares ideas, discussions and resources; enabling and encouraging community participation around events and public conversations.We also worked on long term projects helping organisations build social media in to their working day and to think creatively about engaging with their staff. Managed external relationships on behalf of C4 education, organising topical events to bring in thought leaders and commissioning ideas for C4, managing the communication between C4 and the education sector during their movement from TV to online multi-platform projects.
