Development en building a high-tech Solar powered race-boat. We will compete in the Dong Energy Solarchallenge 2014

Solar Team Groningen participated with two solar boats in the Frisian Solar Challenge 2010. For this project I've build a computer model of the solarboat and learn a controller using Reinforcement Learning which will support the decision making of the pilot. This system optimized the powerconsumption, and overall speed of the solar-boat.Besides my master thesis I also assisted the design and building process of both boats, including some CNC-work.

Assisting students for the course Artificial Intelligence II. This job included setting up pratical assignments, assisting during the practical sessions and grading their work afterwards.

For 11 years I helped out at a nursery. I started out as just a help, but after a few years became in charge of the maintenance (complete revision of potting machines, tractors, lawnmowers, etc..) and construction.This job gave me the opportunity to save some money and finance my studies.

As an intern I designed control-systems for a large line of cookie baking machines for "bakker klootwijk" in Rotterdam ( http://www.klootwijk.com/ ). I had to design the electric schematics and program some of the Siemens PLC's.
