For the last 20+ years, I spent most of my career at the intersection of news and journalism, product and business innovation, and change management in charge of some of the flagship Google’s initiatives to stimulate and support the news-ecosystem in a complex regulatory environment. All my career has centered around transforming the digital industry. With a main focus on news publishers, I supported legacy outlets, digital natives and tech startups, helping them to figure out new recipes and build a vision in a constantly changing environment. I held multiple strategic positions to handle the relationships between the publishing ecosystem and Google. My background is in journalism and product. I was a reporter, editor-in-chief, CDO of a French national newspaper and CEO of a multi-million Google’s backed foundation before joining the tech company to set up European and global initiatives to stimulate innovation in news and journalism and help define the role to play in a complex regulatory environment. I designed and managed some of the biggest effort to support the news-ecosystem and played an active role to reshape the relationships with publishers.In my current role I’m leading flagship programs in Europe, Latin America, North America, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa and I’m bringing strategic guidance to address one of the company’s top priorities. As part of the Global Partnerships team I collaborate with leaders across functions and verticals (partnership teams, products, comms, public policy, marketing, finance, legal etc). Main area of expertise:- Development of at scale ecosystem funding initiatives and programs- Design of 1P and 3P funding strategies - Ecosystem stimulation through innovation and solution oriented programs - Impact measurement and community building- CSR and public policy initiatives- Multi year planning, mid/long term ecosystem engagement plan, budget management- Change management and risk prevention/mitigation- Public speakingBeyond my current scope, I acted as a professor adjunct for +10 years and designed a school. I also joined boards and I was a member of the French National Digital Council (CNNum), an independent advisory body for the French government.Between my professional experiences I earned a fellowship at Harvard, working on Innovation, business model disruption and change management mainly at the Business School and the MIT. I also recently graduated from the Blockchain Technologies: Business Innovation and Application program at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
