Troubleshoot and respond to the HIM business requests for records pertaining to patients, providers, end-users, etc. Build and maintain coding account and claim edit work queues. Preform modifications in Epic to improve the coding workflow for increased productivity and to improve hospital reimbursement. Assist end-users with Release of Information requests. Resolve issues related to In Basket deficiency messages and provider suspension notices. Identity related issues involving the maintenance of the Master Patient Index (MPI) by performing merges, contact moves, and chart corrections, with the ability to maintain a high degree of system integrity. MPI comparison and conversions for affiliate organizations, including clean-up of erroneous charts and duplicate patient records. Grant additional access to current and new users. Build test patients, prepare training materials and tip sheets for HIM staff and other end-users. Maintain Break-the-Glass access and processes associated with departments and individuals. Perform integration, unit, user acceptance, and bi-monthly regression testing. Build for Care Everywhere (CE) as related to HIM and respond to CE requests from other healthcare organizations. Assisted with the implementation of Epic 2012 and 2014 upgrades for the HIM modules. Updates for 2013, 2014, and 2015 DRGs in the Epic system, and currently preforming testing for the conversion of ICD-9 to ICD-10. Map new and existing Epic document types. Experience using Data Courier to move build from POC to TST and PRD environments. Create Workbench Reports and work on various project assignments including Meaningful Use stages 1 and 2, ROI setup for physician offices, affiliate relations, Anesthesia, Cupid, etc. Assist with maintaining the Legal Health Record by identifying printed records from Epic to ensure the appropriate and necessary documentation is captured to limit hospital legal exposure. Work closely with other Epic teams to accomplish common goals.
