David Luganda Nsiyonna is a highly accomplished climate communication expert and science trainer, specializing in science communication, policy advocacy, and corporate sustainability. He is the Coordinator of the Network of Climate Journalists of the Greater Horn of Africa (NECJOGHA), a position where he leverages his expertise to empower science journalists in 11 Eastern African countries to effectively report on and engage with climate issues.Throughout his career, David has demonstrated a deep commitment to advancing climate communication and action. He has initiated and co-organized numerous impactful initiatives, including the Climate Communication Masterclass series in collaboration with the IGAD Climate Prediction and Application Centre (ICPAC), climate cafes that foster dialogue between scientists, journalists, and the public, and school cafes designed to enhance children's climate education.David's dedication to building capacity is evident in his extensive training of over 200 science journalists, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to accurately and effectively communicate complex climate information.
