As a PhD Candidate at Politecnico di Milano, my work is at the intersection of nuclear engineering and materials science, focusing on developing tungsten coatings for nuclear fusion applications. Specifically, I use advanced material production and characterization techniques to enhance the performance of tungsten in extreme nuclear fusion environments, including plasmas, liquid metals, and recently molten salts thanks to a visiting period at MIT. 🔬Teaching physics has improved my ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, a skill I carry over to my research outreach. Committed to advancing the field of fusion energy, I am motivated by the potential of my work to contribute to sustainable energy.
