Though I have had a few career changes, the most rewarding role has been in project management. I see it as a mix of my past roles in retail management, customer service, and sales. Effective communication is very important to me. I take pride in having excellent verbal and written communication skills. Also, adapting to new work situations and learning new processes quickly is vital in my role, especially when most of my work is done on a computer. Having plenty of experience in an office setting, I am very comfortable working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Outlook), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail), Salesforce, Smartsheet, and I always enjoy learning new programs.Because I manage my own projects, working independently is common. However, I often collaborate with co-workers, either out of necessity or just to bounce ideas off one another. At work, I am routinely part of a task force that comes up with solutions to specific issues or improvements to processes. Whether I am in the office or working from home, I will not stop working until I fulfill what I set out to do. I am also a big believer in wellness and taking care of my own health, so understanding the effects of burnout, I have learned to manage my time and clear my head when needed without compromising my job responsibilities. Away from work, I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my two-year-old son and being amazed at how quickly he is growing. Whenever I get a chance I also enjoy riding my skateboard, going to concerts, and re-reading the Harry Potter book series. I have recently enjoyed doing trivia and hope to one day win a prize for it.
