• Provided technical support in source rock and petroleum geochemistry analysis, Piston core characterization, 1D, 2D, and 3D geochemical modelling, and unconventional characterization. Petroleum system modeling of the Greater Edson area in Western Canada Basin was an example of the application of almost all geochemical tools into a development project. This evaluation finished with the identification of the most oil prone plays and blocks helping managers in taking decision for new strategies. • Actively involved in the acquisition of blocks during bid rounds and farm in opportunities. Important participation in the identification of the recent discoveries of Salinas Basin, Mexico, which resulted in two oil discoveries with reserves over 200 MMbbls.• Designed the analytical program and the selection of type and number of samples to bring the best solutions for the exploration and exploitation projects activities and objectives.• Began and lead the unconventional shale oil Vaca Muerta project in the Neuquen Basin. This project was started from the ground up with the incorporation of billions of barrels of oil and several TCF of gas reserves in the basin.sessment

Colombia

• Oversaw geochemical modeling and thermal history of most Colombian basins during the Play Fairway analysis project, which result in the identification of most prospective areas and plays and new leads and prospects in Colombia. • Provided technical geochemical support to development and operation programs.• Supervised a technical staff of up to 10 which included technicians, geologist, chemist, and petroleum engineer. • Assessed and evaluated oil potential for exploratory programs. The geochemical evaluation of the Southern Llanos Basin concluded with the retention of land that ended with heavy oil discoveries over 40 MMbbls.

Venezuela

• Oversaw organic geochemistry and basin analysis evaluation of selected locations in the Maracaibo, Barinas-Apure and Eastern Venezuela Basin. One of the most important results was the identification of a new source rock in the Venezuela Atlantic Margin, de-risking the potential to find oil in this exploratory frontier (similar SR concept that the recent Guyana discoveries).• Oversaw objective characterization of processes of generation, expulsion, migration, accumulation, entrapment, and preservation of hydrocarbon in exploration of main Venezuelan basins.• Worked in the field collecting oil and gas samples from oilfields (wellheads), petroleum and rock samples during well drilling and rock, oil & gas seeps and water samples during geological field work. Subsequently supervised analytical program in laboratories and quality control of results.
