AusCorp Health operates as a health and fitness supplier to numerous companies, health clubs, personal training studios and individuals across Australia.As the Area Business Manager, I am accountable and responsible for providing strategic leadership and overseeing the business operations of AusCorp Health.I am responsible for striking a balance between the generation of new corporate business and the management of existing relationships, whilst working closely with in-club sales teams to support the execution of the corporate strategy at club level.Actively involved in the innovative growth of AusCorp Health as a company within Australia. This includes ensuring that business models are reflective of contemporary approaches and that current revenue streams are maintained and/or new revenue stream opportunities are identified.

In my role as the Health Club Manager, I was responsible for successfully developing, implementing, promoting and executing a wide range of programs and activities to members, the public, companies and organisations.I led the financial performance and strategic planning associated with servicing the lifestyle area, including; quality control and customer care through staff management, developing a strong service culture, financial & administrative reporting and budget management, OH&S and compliance. The site has close to 1000 members, which consists of both staff and contractors. As the manager, it was my duty to ensure that member service and product quality is consistently delivered and the ongoing development of member services and benefits was provided for members. Additional to the club activities, the role included coordinating marketing efforts, setting pricing, developing product and service offerings, training and developing key staff and developing design briefs.I was also responsible for the recruitment and on-going development of staff ranging from permanent full-time to sub-contractors, and direct financial accountability via business planning for all revenues and expenses.

Primary role is member retention, membership increase, team leadership, staff management, facility management and revenue management, the Area Manager role requires me to develop and implement business plans, policies & procedures and streamline processes.

Responsible for the administration of the existing personal training department while having the vision to drive the program to its full potential.As the Personal Training Manager, I was responsible for developing systems and implementing processes that assure that all clients are being serviced and all personal trainers are developing the skills to grow their businesses. This was accomplished with continuous communication with trainers and acting as a liaison between Club Managers, Special Services Managers and the Director of the Health Club Facilities. The position required my hands-on experience by working a minimum of 10 hours per week on building my own clientele base and personally training my own clients. This requirement gave me the opportunity to not only lead by example, but also stay in contact with the members and their expectations of our service delivery.
