About Luis Coreas

I believe that I’m can really help close the gap between a business need and the implementation of it. Most of my experience has been around processes and IT, but I have a very strong analytic and strategic background as well so I can communicate between those two parts of the equation that don’t necessarily see eye to eye. At LifeMiles, I’ve managed the operations department since we launched the program in 2011. Since then, we have launched numerous customer and new business initiatives that required transforming the idea into actions. I’ve played a key role in this thru the design of business processes, IT rules definition, metrics definitions, project management, and team leadership. I’m particularly proud that our program that launched in 2011 has won multiple world class awards because of projects I’ve been a part of.I have had the opportunity to work with multiple areas within Avianca and so helped out in multiple projects and initiative such as the launch of LifeMiles, completing requirements to join Star Alliance, developing and managing service metrics for customer experience, multiple cost reduction initiatives that have totaled more than $5M USD, created sales departments, set up incentive plans, managed airline irregular operations, and many others.None of this would be possible without people, and I believe that over time I have improved my leadership skills significantly. In 2013 and 2014 the team I lead has earned a 99% and 98%, respectively, scores in Great Place to Work, the second highest score in our organization of more than 6,000 employees.
