Sulzer Turbo Services provides full-service manufacturing, engineering, repair, reconditioning, balancing, and coating for turbomachinery; including steam and gas turbines, components, centrifugal, axial and screw compressors, expanders, and At-Speed Balancing.I managed a staff of engineers and drafters that provides support for shop operations and offers direct engineering services to customers worldwide. I manage and provide engineering direction on projects ranging from $0.5MM to $20MM. I lead root-cause failure, rotordynamic, aerodynamic and finite-element analyses. I prepare technical proposals, write magazine articles and give presentations to customers.

I performed rotordynamic analyses, stress hand calculations, modal testing, and root cause failure analyses, on centrifugal, axial and screw compressors, steam and gas turbines, and hot gas expanders. I served as the project coordinator on machinery repair projects. I assisted with field startup and the acquisition of vibration data.

I led a team of two graduate and one undergraduate student to the successful completion of a test program for measuring the rotordynamic coefficients of tilting-pad bearings and oil seals. Results of the research were published in three peer-reviewed articles in ASME's Journal of Tribology.
