Over the past nearly 15 years, I have specialized in optical instrumentation for space science applications.My journey began in 2008 after completing my studies in Barcelona, when I had the opportunity to conduct my Final Engineering Thesis at the INAOE (National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics) in Puebla, Mexico, focusing on the Large Millimeter Telescope (LMT). This experience motivated me to pursue further challenges in this field. In 2010, I was selected to develop my PhD (and later Post-doc) at the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy in Bonn, where I worked on an astronomical receiver for the APEX Telescope in Chile, primarily concentrating on the optical system. This role provided invaluable hands-on experience during instrument commissioning and astronomical observations.In 2016, I joined Airbus, where I enhanced my optical and engineering skills while working on space instruments for Earth observation within various European programs, including Copernicus and Earth Explorer Missions. I held several roles that combined technical and managerial responsibilities across Optical Architecture, Systems Engineering, and Supply Chain Operations, contributing to missions such as Sentinel-4, Sentinel-5, Lagrange-Vigil, and Forum.In May 2024, I joined the European Southern Observatory (ESO) as VLTI Systems Engineer. In this role, I am responsible for the development, integration, and verification of astronomical instrumentation for VLT Interferometry, overseeing the entire process from initial concepts to final product delivery and testing at the observatory. Additionally, I am involved in the operation and upgrade of the VLTI facility.
