National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):Multi-site Clinical Assessment of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome:The purpose of this study is to examine the heterogeneity of patients with CFS, post-infective fatigue (PIF), or myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) as diagnosed in the clinical practices of clinicians experienced with identification and management of CFS. A standardized approach for data collection will reduce measurement errors due to different data collection instruments, and allow us to describe the heterogeneity of the CFS patients. The study will also address the issue of CFS case definition using evidence-based data collected from various clinical practices.
