Network Engineer
Current-Perform day-to-day network operations on government provided computer simulation systems and mission command information systems (MCiS) in support of live, virtual, constructive, gaming - integrated architecture (LVCG-IA) training exercises. Operations include: hardware and software support and applying software updates and upgrades; planning, designing, and implementing data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems; conducting network wiring plans and LAN or WAN hardware or software purchases; and conducting system installation, backup, maintenance, problem solving, and network or remote connectivity hardware or software support. Evaluate the technical feasibility of proposed system solutions and facilitate the maintenance of network user documentation, including hardware or software applications, support logs, and other information.-Support training and training exercises for military service members, including operator-level training on Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) and system subcomponents, Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS), Multiple Unified Simulation Environment/Virtual Reality Scene Generator (MUSE/VRSG), and Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS)
