I've spent over 30 years in various public sector transportation related positions. After being elected to the WA State House of Representatives I was appointed as Co-Vice Chair of the House Transportation Committee. While in that position I founded the Washington State Legislative Rail Caucus in 2013 where we promoted the need for increased funding and expansion of inter-city passenger rail service via the Amtrak Cascades in Washington and Oregon. After retiring from the Legislature I took a position in 2018 as Government Affairs Director for All Aboard Washington, a 501c3 nonprofit that promotes passenger rail as an integral part of Washington state’s transportation solutions.
