• Support the Avery operations and responsible to meet key operational measures within business unit (safety, service, quality & cost).• Support the implementation and maintain Lean Sigma Initiatives in the BU.• Lead the BU team to continuously look for improvements based in the BU scorecard• Along 10 years working in operations I have had the opportunity to support different business units within the plant,(Molding / high volume packing: 2.5 years, Flexo Printing Press 3 years, High speed paper press 3 years and warehouse 1 yr.)Main Responsibilities:• Direct activity to accomplish Enterprise Lean Sigma (ELS) improvements in the Business Unit.• Analyze and draw information for daily operational needs and improvement. Provide prompt problem solving for key issues.• Collaborate with other functional areas to resolve problems and develop improved manufacturing processes.• Make efforts to reduce manufacturing waste and process complexity.• Provide leadership to team to execute plans to meet key metrics of the business.• Directly supervises work of production supervisors to ensure maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, tools and equipment.• Ensure best practices and standard operating procedures are being followed by conducting frequent business audits.

Primary Function:Support the Business objectives associated with quality and cost by providing technical support for the maintenance and production operations. Manage continuous improvements projects to improve overall efficiency and unit cost.Main Responsibilities:• Responsible of the LeanSigma Deployment; work with a multifunctional team to implement Lean Principles and six sigma methodology. • Identify and analyze operations problems using six sigma methodologies (DMAIC) to improve and control manufacturing processes.• Promote the use of six sigma and lean tools (PMAP, FMEA, DOE, Kaizen, SMED, VSM, GTA, TPM)• Drive business wide continuous improvements initiatives and cost reduction projects utilizing DMAIC framework.• New Raw Material Suppliers and Equipment Qualification• Quality Improvements, Defect Analysis (Corrective Actions Implementation)

Main Responsibilities:• Responsible of the New Product Introduction (BOM, Pilots Runs, equipment evaluation.)• Responsible of product/equipment transference form other plants • Design Engineering Changes Implementation & Follow up • Create BOM and update • Drive Greenbelt Savings Projects • New Raw Material Suppliers and Equipment Qualification• Manufacturing Support: Provide support to manufacturing to resolve production & quality issues that arise on a day-to-day basis.
