My name is Luis Navarro I am 41 years old. My life experience consists of graduating high school from La Mirada High in 1998. I went and received my AA from Cerritos College in 2002, I transferred to California State University Dominguez Hills and studied International Business there until 2005.I was offered a position to work for then professional MLS Mexican soccer club Chivas USA in their corporate sales department with our offices working out of Dignity Health Sports Park formerly known as the Home Depot Center. I worked outside sales and marketing from 2005 through 2008.The position consisted of creating marketing opportunities for possible corporate partners. In this position I had the opportunity to work with and create marketing campaigns specifically targeting the hispanic community with the likes of Makita USA, Banco Popular, Centex Homes, The Home Depot, HSBC, Bank of America, Delta Dental and many more.During this time my mother opened her life long dream of operating Lolas Mexican Cuisine showcasing our families recipes. I worked with her helping her with day to day operations in the evenings.At the end of 2008 I took a position with a client working outside sales with Aloha Freight. My responsibilities consisted of covering all of Los Angeles county. This position also allowed me the flexibility to continue my career while allowing me the time to continue helping my mother with her restaurant.In 2009 my mother became ill and was diagnosed with colon cancer. I quit my job at Aloha Freight, and dedicated myself to Lolas Mexican Cuisine.Creating a logo that was going to resonate with the community, creating marketing campaigns targeted to our surrounding neighborhoods within a strategic (5) five mile radius. Becoming involved with strategic partners in Long Beach, museums, the CVB, but overall introducing Lolas Mexican Cuisine.My mother passed away in October 2010. My goal was to keep her dream alive, and honor her through her restaurant. I dove into every facet of the business learning the business from top to bottom. working every single position from dishwasher, prep, kitchen line, ultimately becoming the Chef.I toured Mexico with fellow chefs and restauranteurs learning absorbing recipes, marketing styles, decor, menu innovation and design. in 2015 we created Navarro Hospitality Group Inc. Our company employs close to (200) two hundred employees, we operate (4) four restaurants, (3) three different concepts, menu innovation, interior design, marketing and employee training and management.
