RESPONSIBILITIES Reviews the daily reports of extraordinary activity in customer accounts and transactions and investigate whether such transactions are to be reported to the US authorities as suspicious in nature. Reviews notices of prospective customers and conducts background checks adequate to meet the requirements of any CDD/ "know-your-customer" regulations. Periodically verifying the existence and adequacy of transaction profiles developed for each customer, and requesting adjustment of the profiles when necessary. Arranges for the periodic (at least annual) training of staff members regarding BSA compliance issues such as the Bank Secrecy Act Reviews customer account activity to detect unusual and suspicious activity Monitors proper completion and timely filing of the Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) Monitors proper completion and timely filing of the Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) Monitors proper completion and timely filing of Designation of Exempt Persons Compliance with OFAC procedures Monitors the Monetary Instrument Logs Reviews Wire Transfers activity to detect unusual and suspicious activity Interfaces with Branches and departments on Bank Secrecy Act issues Monitors compliance with Section 314a; 314b and 311 Performs Manual revisions as they relate to BSA Maintains binders containing the following: Monetary Logs, Storage Logs. Performs other duties as may be assigned QUALIFICATIONS Must be familiar with banking laws and regulations in general and the businesses of the Bank in particular. Have expert knowledge of bank operations. Must have seasoned judgment regarding the relative significance of a given development or inquiry.
