I am a Graduate student doing my Master of Science in Civil Engineering, graduated and built the foundation for my career at Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. My goal is to become a professional Civil engineer in the area of construction and geotechnical engineering I have industry and internship experience in the Civil Engineering Industry in the building construction, construction materials testing, Geotechnical, structures, and Heavy Civil engineering sectors.The projects I have been involved in the internship experience involve the rehabilitation of concrete and asphalt of Terminal A at the Ronald Reagan National Airport in Arlington Virginia. I have been also involved in the I-66 Outside the Beltway project, 22.5 miles of multi-modal improvements to the I-66 corridor from I-495 in Fairfax County, VA to University Boulevard in Prince William County, VA. The project consisted of two express lanes alongside three lanes. The project also focused on creating space in the median for future transit; corridor-wide bike and pedestrian improvements; and safety and operational improvements at key interchanges throughout the corridor. I have also been involved in projects in Norfolk such as the construction of the Hampton Roads Bridge tunnel. I was involved in installing the singing and the lighting for all the tunnels with Virginia Sign and Lighting, a subsidiary of the lane construction corporation I am proficient in Auto CAD and Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, Primavera, Bluebeam, precision surveying, and Microsoft Office. I am a passionate and enthusiastic student who has an enthusiasm for the challenges of great heavy civil projects. I show passion and initiative through my strong work ethic attention to detail and accuracy to lead by example to motivate my peers to get the job done.
