Rf Performance & Optimization Engineer
Provided RF engineering services to customer (Sprint). Responsible for serving territory in Chicago to ensure performance of wireless network in order meet the service level agreements. Evaluated network defects then optimized and/or correct network components as well as troubleshoot and resolved customer trouble tickets.•Detected & Mitigated RF interferers that affect Sprint’s network performance (iDEN, CDMA, EVDO). Successfully investigated hundreds of interference types including: out of band emissions, co-channel, adjacent channel, inter-modulation, receiver overload, harmonics and general RF noise.•Project managed Sprint’s reallocation of the EMSR spectrum. Re-banding project responsibilities include communication between Sprint and local public safety department, investigate any complaints caused by Sprint, approve frequency exchanges, and deploy needed compatible equipment to base station. •Project managed carrier deployments to address capacity needs. Project includes identifying trouble areas, ordering materials, provided unitization reports & organizing equipment installation. •Project managed MPE/EME site certifications. Provided site measurement, RF emission diagrams, and site compliance reports. Certify sites that are in compliance with (FCC) Rules and Regulations for RF emissions.•BDA & DAS systems: Perform pre-walks evaluation of buildings requiring increase of coverage. Collected data and determined donor site. Review DAS designs and link budgets. Collected performance measurements and compare vendor data reports. Sign off on systems when the customer’s guidelines and expectations are met. Providing post-deployment support: optimizing, troubleshooting, and maintenance. •Project managed NASCAR event. Tasks included planning, optimizing, and deploying of six temporary cell sites that provided coverage to 100,000 spectators. Successfully maintained a drop calls & block rate of less than 1%.
