My practice is focused on the representation of employers in matters related to labor and employment law including union avoidance, wage & hour, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims. I serve as the Co-Chair of my firm’s Wage & Hour Practice Group due to my extensive experience litigating such claims. I have a unique understanding of the administrative and legal challenges faced by clients in the hospitality, retail and grocery industries. My previous experience as a hospitality and grocery employee gives me an insider’s perspective. Prior to attending law school, I worked for many years in hospitality management. I began as a front desk clerk and worked myself up to the position of assistant hotel manager. I also worked as a grocery store cashier. After becoming a lawyer, I wanted to continue helping companies in those industries with their employment-related issues.In addition to providing legal services to the hospitality and retail industries, I represent employers in a variety of industries, including transportation, healthcare, and insurance in all facets of employment law. I am fluent reading and writing in Spanish. I often use my bilingual skills to train and educate Hispanic management and staff in their native language.
