Provide IT consulting services to the organization’s commercial and government clients, including implementation of a wide variety of technologies and solutions, both hardware and software based.- Upgraded Folger Shakespeare Library's flat layer 2 network to a layer 3 topology in preparation for the implementation of a Siemens VoIP solution using Cisco Catalyst switches.- Introduced wireless networking into the Folger Shakespeare Library's infrastructure eventually upgrading and expanding using Cisco's WLC5508 with lightweight access points. - Solved Folger's increasing digital storage needs by proposing, and implementing Compellent's Storage Center SAN. Also led the upgrade of the SAN to a newer 48 TB Dell/Compellent SAN once the storage system had been maxed out.- Overhauled Folger's aging backup/restore system with a state-of-the-art disaster recovery system using Commvault's Simpana product which included offsite archiving and deduplication, as well as hot site replication.- Migrated the Folger Shakespeare Library's email system to a robust Exchange 2010 environment that included redundant multi-role Exchange servers using Kemp's LM 2200 load balancer.

Administered a 500+ node NT 4.0/Windows 2000 mixed mode LAN/WAN environment. Implemented new Equinox DMP RAS solution, VPN/RRAS server and Certificate Authority for remote user access. Responsible for coordinating the installation of new telecommunication services for office relocation, as well as for the relocation of one of the company’s remote offices.

Contracted to the Federal Trade Commission as a first tier support technician in a Windows 3.11/ Windows NT 4.0 environment. Promoted to NT Support Specialist after 8 months with the company. Responsible for second tier escalations of trouble calls dealing with troubleshooting Windows NT Workstation, as well as light LAN administration.
