I recently graduated from California State University East Bay, where I studied Business Administration concentrating on Operations and Supply Chain Management. As of now, I am working for AMPS where I am a paraprofessional tutor for middle schoolers in Oakland. I motivated students to not only get through the classwork but to start thinking ahead in life. I also help my fellow peers with analyzing student behavior through a program called kickboard to help establish corrective measures to keep them in the classrooms. I honestly enjoy helping the students out because I see myself in a few of them and I just want to give them a better chance than I had. Currently, I have also been accepted into COOP Career's Apprenticeship program as a Data Analyst, where I am learning the fundamentals about how companies use data to help them make decisions and related program tools like Tableau, SQL, Excel, and R which I am learning how to use to process, clean, and create data visualizations. I'm also working on a Google Analytics certificate while at the same time working in a small group of four where we complete a client project where we are trying to identify top-selling products to create recommendations to drive future sales for a small business. Using my newly acquired skills from COOP and the Google Analytics certificate, I’m looking for any opportunities to demonstrate the skills I learned in COOP and my past experiences.
