In this position, I empower individuals and families to achieve financial stability and success. Previously, I was a Care Coordinator for United Way Broward, where I was instrumental in helping families stabilize their homes and finances through the Family Stability Program.My professional journey is rich and varied. Prior to my tenure at United Way, I honed my academic and teaching skills as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Language, Linguistics, and Comparative Literature Department at Florida Atlantic University, where I completed my Master’s Degree in Comparative Literature. Post-graduation, I transitioned into freelance document translation, a role that utilized my linguistic expertise. I then dedicated two years as an ESOL Resource Coach, supporting English language learners before joining United Way Broward.Parallel to my career in social services, I have a longstanding and dynamic career in the music industry, spanning over 23 years. I have had the privilege of performing live and contributing to recording projects, collaborating with esteemed artists such as Abraham Laboriel, Chester Thompson, Justo Almario, and David Cabrera early in my career. One of my career highlights includes working with producer Marlow Rosado on his 2012 album “Retro,” which earned me a Grammy Award for Best Tropical Latin Album of the Year.My dual careers in financial coaching and the music industry reflect my passion for helping others and my dedication to excellence.
