As the Executive Director of the Chicano Latino Youth Leadership Project (CLYLP), I lead a non-profit organization that empowers young Latinx leaders through civic engagement, leadership development, and policy advocacy. I have over 20 years of experience in the education sector, with a focus on advancing equity, inclusion, and social justice for underserved communities.My core competencies include educational consulting, program development, and communication. I have guided and supported schools, communities, and organizations in areas such as curriculum development, student success, and diversity and inclusion. Previously, I was the Program Director for The Smet Foundation's Onward Scholars Program, creating and executing a scholarship initiative that enhanced educational opportunities, mentoring, and program development for first-generation students in the Los Angeles community. I hold a doctorate in Organizational Leadership from the University of Southern California, a Master's degree in Education and Counseling from San Diego State University, and a Bachelor's in Political Science and Ethnic Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. My mission is to foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and social justice within and beyond the educational system.
