I manage the Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management - Innovation and Technology Support Office (IPTBM-ITSO) of the Western Mindanao State University. I file all the IP registrations for copyright, trademarks, and patents of the researchers and scientists of the university. I also handle the patent drafting, commercialization of the patents, and draft licensing agreements.

I drafted the legal provisions of SRI's proposed amendments to the Human Security Act, to ensure the balance between sufficient human rights safeguards and effective law enforcement powers. I lobbied for the amendment of the Human Security Act, and the inclusion of our proposed provisions, with members of Congress, both in the Senate and House of Representatives.

I was part of the Political Science faculty of the University.

I received training on intellectual property rights (IPR) research, registration, and prosecution processes, learned how to examine trademark and patent applications, and assisted in IPR enforcement. I also attended conferences on the Madrid Protocol and collective management organizations. The internship is in line with my law school specialization in Corporate and Business Law.

I assisted the PAO lawyers in their appearances in court, writing affidavits/memorandums, and transcribing witness testimonies.

My main responsibility was to write position papers and make write-ups for their press releases and their newsletter. I was also part of the team that organized the mass mobilization, as well as the Amnesty human rights convention that year.
