Professor of Music Production and Voice

Executive Assistant to music and technology entrepreneur and producer:Maintaining schedule, scheduling meetings, organizing travel, and assisting in various projects in varying degrees.Manager of Operations:Assisting in all management aspects for recording artists in Brasil and USA, including but not limited to booking shows, coordinating travel, event production, translating and finalizing agreements, liaising between record labels and artist management, creating presentations for tours and marketing purposes, marketing proposals for new campaigns, procuring sponsorships and brand opportunities, and creating and assessing budgets and P&Ls for recording, travel, and performances.

Responsible for analyzing controlled composition clauses in artist agreements, applying them to royalty calculations and summarizing them for interdepartmental use. Executing licensing activity for all audio and video releases, synchronization, and all configurations, as well as negotiating licenses for all types of releases. Handling complex and time-sensitive projects such as obtaining publisher approval for promotional material for the label. Working quickly and accurately to research and interpret contract provisions and calculating copyright royalty rates. Assisting label directors as necessary, and working closely with Copyright Coordinators for accurate product calculations.

Liaison in many areas of the organization including guidance on instrument collection and educational programming to ensure that organization leverages the power of music to educate and grow individuals and communities. Traveling to Haiti to teach master classes in music and other courses.

Responsible for obtaining publisher information for all releases under Columbia and Epic label groups, and creating accounts for publishers and/or songwriters in order for mechanical fees to be paid. Licensing digital and physical configurations, providing label with credits for releases. Responding to publisher and/or writer inquiries on an ongoing basis. Executing Letters of Direction; updating payees to reflect certain administration changes, as well as updating older publisher clearances. Working closely with Fox and NBC in researching writer information and obtaining publisher clearances for audio and video releases for TV shows Glee (Fox) and Smash (NBC). Coding and calculating certain products for accurate payment of mechanicals.

Responsible for assisting in the operations and production of all Hudson River Park summer events, and execution of selected grassrootsmarketing initiatives. Responsible for execution of event promotional plans, event set-up and break-down, data entry, assisting and reportingto the Events Supervisor and Director of Marketing and Events as needed, and assisting to provide a safe environment on-site.
