Hello and Welcome! My name is Luis Andres, but I go by Danny. I am a sophomore undergraduate student pursuing an Architecture degree at the University of Maryland, College Park. My goal is to pursue my master’s degree in architecture and become a licensed architect. I am interested in design architecture with a focus on BIM software like Revit, Sketchup, etc. I want to focus on commercial architecture with an interest in project management and maybe in the future video game architect designer. Over the last year I have been using my time to create a good portfolio. I have been using precedents to master my skills in sketching up and by creating models and drawings for the buildings. I have also been mastering my skills in drafting within my architecture courses like ARCH300 and ARCH262. During the summer I got some field experience within my father’s construction company. I worked as a laborer but also had an introduction on how to read and navigate plans. I am still learning, and I am motivated to grow my knowledge from here. Outside of experience and academics, I enjoy participating in sports like boxing and soccer(futbol), outdoor walks, weightlifting, MMA, playing games on Xbox, and building/designing random objects in CAD software. I also enjoy my free time with my friends and family.
