Lead performance and longevity testing for Data Protection products, with a focus on VMware plugin. For the last 4 years at EMC I have been responsible to design and execute Performance Testing for Backup, Restore and Tape Out solutions. This includes measuring system performance under controlled, reliable and repeatable conditions, making sure performance rates meet product and customers requirements, running stability/longevity testing to verify system durability under overload conditions, finding bottlenecks and system limits. Part of this job responsibility has also been sizing the product and our application for customers based on their own environment and needs. Monitor progress and status of the testing, data analysis and effective reporting is also an important aspect of my responsibility. I am loving performance tests, since it's interesting and challenging enough for me. There are many variables involved that need to be controlled and great exposure to customers environment.
