Hello, my name is Luis Bernal. I am a student at Cal State San Marcos University who is majoring in Electrical Engineering. I decided to pursue a career in engineering because I enjoy creating/implementing new technological innovations that can be a great service to an individual or community. Through my work experience as a peer math tutor in TRIO SSS at Cal State San Marcos University, I was able to strengthen my communication skills and providing assistance to students, while also creating the mindset of what a "work environment" is like from a student's perspective. I am also the treasurer of the First-Generation club where I have developed responsibility and leadership when being given the money of the club and to what that money will be used towards. In addition, I am also vice president of technical affairs in the TOM club where we develop ideas to help communities and collaborating with one another on our ideas. TOM club has further help develop more of collaborating with other students and taking initiation for what project ideas we should work on.
