About Luis Cañal

I began my professional career in EY in 2006. Since then, I have been auditing relevant companies in Spain in various sectors. In 2011 I participated in an 18-month secondment in the UK, where I started to use IFRS more frequently and gained exposure to the Aerospace and Defence sector. I am currently working from the Madrid office. I am involved in both EY FAAS (Financial Accounting Advisory Services) and the IFRS Desk, where I look forward to supporting accounting excellence, particularly for new accounting standards (IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 9, and Spanish GAAP). I likewise audit relevant companies, my most recent experience being in the Automotive, Manufacturing and Mobility Sector. I also look forward to seeing the development of the Future of Mobility.
