Luis is an action-orientated and multilingual Certified Information Systems Security Professional/Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (CISSP-ISSAP) with over 10 years’ international experience. Luis past experience spans across professional services and consultancy, operations and engineering work on complex organizations across multiple industry sectors. He is currently leading the regional CSIRT practice at Credit Suisse where incident response, digital forensics, threat intel and malware analysis are part of his main duties. Additionally, he helps the organization maturing the security posture across the different business divisions and educate senior management in the never ending game of combating the latest threats. Prior to join the CSIRT, he worked has product manager for security services where he successfully helped the organization creating different business cases to get funding for various cyber security projects. Before that, he worked for the leading provider of Managed Security Services - Verizon Business - where he helped design, build and operate a Security Operations Center from ground zero. In this role he managed a multi cultural team of experienced security engineers at customer site that were responsible for day to day security analytics and infrastructure management. He was responsible for all operations, escalations and deployment support of all new business and won multiple ovation awards due to its commitment and expertise to advance the business. Previously, he worked in Portugal where he helped design, build, operate and support many security infrastructures across different organizations. This role helped him gain strong technical security foundations and well-rounded customer facing skills.Luis is a security enthusiast and an active member of the security community working on promoting and reinforcing security skills either trough his blog - CountUponSecurity.com - or via SANS mentoring.
