• Started up from the ground to a full active operation (in less than 9 months) for a new business dedicated to promoting, selling, and providing services in Mexico for its 30+ specialized engine ignition systems.

• Responsible of transferring 8 production lines from 3 different locations in the USA to Mexico.
• Leading the manufacturing engineering group (3 senior and 2 junior manufacturing engineers, 1 product engineer, 4 temporaries) and project manager responsible for start-up the 7 different production lines, with less.
• While the maintenance crew was outsourced my role was being responsible to manage them (12 maintenance techs in 4 shifts) as part of the organization stablishing goals, measuring their performance, and supporting them.
• Setting up the operation in Mexico considering all regulatory aspects.

• Part of the transfer team for the new manufacturing campus star-up in Reynosa, from the facility selection to the full start-up. From 1 employee to a total of 2 manufacturing facilities holding 4 different product.

• Transferring 7 production lines from USA to Mexico in 8 months.
• Leading the Lean Manufacturing implementation for production Lines moved from USA. Reduction of 30% floor space required, with 4hrs of production raw material.
• Introduction from Design to Manufacturing of the latest version of the high impact printer in the market in less than 9 months from 1st prototype run to full production of final release.
• Helped our biggest customer in India to start their own operation of our printers the final assembly line in less than 6 months.

• Insource of 3 different sub-assemblies for GE’s X-ray system control panel, achieving supplier’s production rate in less than 3 months with less than 2% quality rejection on manufacturing defects.
• Introduction from design engineering to manufacturing of the newest generation of GE’s X-ray systems, in 18 months including 3 major design modifications including design to manufacturing and quality improvement.

• Leader of 3 Continuous Improvement teams (21 people involved) reaching US$3M dollars in savings in the first year: Design-to-Cost improvements, Freight and Logistic consolidation and MRO expense consolidation with.
