• Oversee general operations of the Latin America and the Caribbean portfolio and conduct in-country detailed assessments to determine the organization’s entry strategy to work in new countries in Latin America. • Manage a $1.6 million USAID regional project focused on building constituencies for democracy and supporting the rights to participation and freedom of association. • Conduct baseline and impact assessments, identify and provide mentorship to grassroots organizations and groups working to guarantee civic engagement and participation in public decision making, and coordinate with local implementing partners, allies, and donors.• Produce program management documents such as annual work plans, quarterly reports, final evaluations, and marketing and communication materials for current and past projects. • Identify and develop new project opportunities, programmatic areas, and strategic partnerships with local, national, and international organizations and networks working on peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and democracy promotion.• In charge of the development and implementation of comprehensive monitoring and evaluation systems for regional projects currently under implementation. • Conduct in-country scoping missions for new business, M&E of existing projects, and to establish new relationships with key partners.

• Provided strategic leadership for the Citizen Security Program and oversaw its expansion from a one-year, one-donor project to a multiyear, multi donor program encompassing several major projects. • Managed a portfolio of projects funded by the Open Society Foundations, the National Endowment for Democracy, and the European Union on topics including drug policy, police reform, juvenile justice, victims’ rights, and independent citizen oversight of security institutions in Mexico. • Coordinated the design and implementation of complex multi stakeholder dialogue and negotiation processes on policy and legislative changes concerning human rights, access to justice, and citizen security. Conducted the design and implementation of the conflict and stakeholder assessments that provided the bases for these dialogue processes. • Maintained relationships with donors and key partners in Mexico and abroad, and represented the organization in Citizen Security and Human Rights-related fora. • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Citizen Security Program and for the monitoring and evaluation of the Program’s projects. • Taught courses at the national and regional level on effective communication, negotiation, cooperative advocacy, dialogue facilitation, and consensus building with civil society representatives, municipal authorities, and members of political parties.
