About Luis Gerardo Peña Martínez

I am bringing forward the most recent genomics and biotechnological advancements to further improve the genomic diagnosis landscape for people in Ontario.I developed a multiplex PCR detection test for Mycoplasma sp. contamination in cell culture, standardized pharmacogenetic tests for colon cancer patients entering clinical trials, and designed and assembled a molecular biology laboratory for a privately owned innovation center. I also worked as a Biology teacher for the International Baccalaureate program. My experience in molecular diagnostics, experimental design, and project management were projected in pharmacogenetic trials, bacterial infection detection, quality assurance, and standard operating procedures writing.
