Under PI Jesus Ramirez-Vallez and Co-I Sonya Arreola, I am the Project Director across three projects: (1) De Confianza, developing a multi-level intervention to increase medical trust among gay Latinos, (2) Openly Gray, a study on structural racism and discrimination in older gay men living with HIV, and (3) Hermanos de Luna y Sol, a peer-led Spanish language HIV prevention intervention for immigrant gay/bisexual Latinos.

• Subject matter and training expert for case investigation (CI) and contact tracing (CT) roles at the San Francisco Department of Public Health. I developed and led a variety of trainings for the CI/CT workforce.• Training lead for the California Virtual Training Academy.• Qualitative lead on an evaluation of digital tool integration with remote contact tracing and case investigation. • Operations Manager for a case-control study assessing San Francisco outbreaks to advise reopening plans, for which I directly supervised 10 research assistants.

• Conducted trainings for the California Department of Public Health, UCSF and UCLA collaborative effort to train 20,000 contact tracers throughout California.• Lead trainer for the following modules: “How to conduct a contact tracing interview,” “Interviewing skills and building rapport,” “Health coaching,” and “Responding to challenging situations.”• Facilitator for Case Investigator skills labs and Contact Tracer skills labs.

• Supervised the implementation of all project field activities for a trans-specific PrEP demonstration project.• Supervised and trained three project staff, conducted performance evaluations of project staff and identified staff development opportunities. • Created, maintained and oversaw project workflow in collaboration with two clinical sites, including participant recruitment, enrollment, assessment completion and retention. • Co-created and managed project database and participant tracking database. • Managed and maintained IRB submission, modification and renewal processes. • Participated in analysis of TRIUMPH data with Principal Investigator.

• Coordinated implementation of all work plan deliverables for the TETAC, a HRSA funded national evaluation project of nine demonstration sites throughout the United States to enhance engagement and retention in quality HIV care for trans women of color.• Assisted in the development and implementation of programs, policies and work plan objectives related to TETAC, and assisted the PI and Co-PI with overall management of activities with TETAC’s nine Demonstration Sites.• Assisted in the preparation of six month and end-of-year progress reports.• Participated in, and assisted in planning of site visits, compiled site visit reports and tracked site visit report action plans.• Assisted the TETAC evaluator on the implementation of the initiative-wide evaluation plan.• Participated in analysis of TETAC data with Project Evaluator.• Coordinated and monitored database maintenance with data manager.

• Provided capacity building and technical assistance to community based organizations (CBOs) implementing and adapting evidence-based HIV prevention interventions (EBIs) for transgender (trans) populations throughout the US. • Developed trainings, designed procedural guidelines, and created intervention-specific adaptation toolkits to assist CBOs in adapting EBIs for trans populations. • Created and maintained a national network of CBOs adapting EBIs for trans populations.• Co-created and co-coordinated the biennial National Transgender Health Summit.• Co-trained Training of Facilitators for the Street Smart intervention.

• Developed procedural guidelines for adaptations of the Mpowerment Project, SISTA, and Healthy Relationships for trans people of color. • Developed, coordinated, and delivered ongoing trainings to CBOs on adapting and implementing HIV prevention and care interventions with trans people of color. • Lead author of T-SISTA: A Guide for Adapting SISTA for Transwomen.

• Recruited youth advisory board (YAB) participants, facilitated YAB meetings and developed YAB workshops for the UCSF Division of Adolescent Medicine's Adolescent Trials Network. • Communicated youth feedback on clinical protocols to central YAB coordinator.

• Coordinated all member services, including all retreats, outings, weekly support groups, multi-session workshops, and socials events for young people living with HIV. • Senior case manager for all youth receiving services from BAY Positives.• Assisted with grant writing for new and existing programming.
