For over 13 years I worked as a lawyer (mostly in the tax law area), at the same time as engaging in academic activities (e.g., working on my master’s degree, teaching college classes, etc.). In 2020, I realized that the world is changing fast, and I decided to become a part of it. Given the increased importance and use of technology on a daily basis, I believe that software developers are contributing to build our future world. Hence, I decided to switch to a career in IT, and applied for an intensive one-year Java Programming Course at the Coimbra University. I enjoy working in a global environment, dealing with people from different cultural backgrounds. I am also into teamwork and eager to learn new things in a creative way. In my opinion, these characteristics are a great fit for this career field.Technical Skills:- Proficient in Java and Web Services REST, JUnit, Mockito;- Experienced with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA);- Skilled in Database and SQL;- Knowledgeable in Git and Docker;- Familiar with Javascript, HTML, CSS, React, Jest;- Experienced with Jira and Agile Methods.
