"Con ganas, mijo," a phrase that has been repeatedly communicated with me. In translation, "with feeling, my child." I grew up trying to be the best I can for my family, and as I live through life, the phrase, "Con ganas, mijo" had become engraved in me. The phrase helped me to not only care for the people dear to me but for myself as well.The work-life of an average individual consumes a good portion of their life and it had become my goal in life to be able to do my work "with feeling."Today, I am a Senior Financial Analyst for TRC Healthcare. I enjoy the work I do and the recognition I receive is an added bonus. I have gained valuable soft and hard skills that I will use throughout my career. I have helped TRC in many projects, such as: creating an EBITDA by Product-Level report that assists the Senior Team in making data based decisions, various P&L reports that illustrate the break-even points and incremental revenue/expenses on new products in our roadmap, and aiding the Managers in the acquired companies on the budgeting process. Managing my time on integration efforts with my daily tasks has been an impressive skill that I have vastly improved in. I also take part in the Culture Committee, which focuses on improving TRC's culture and the health of our employees; I hope to continually use my skills to affect TRC in even more positive ways. Witnessing TRC's growth and obtaining recognition emails from my coworkers provide more than enough satisfaction to do the best I can at work.My passion for helping individuals is reflected within the multiple organizations I have joined in college as well as the groups I have volunteered for. What I see in my career is the ability to help my company and my co-workers, using the experience and skills I gained throughout my life. I get pleasure in seeing how my work and contribution directly affects others.
