Project's Manager, researcher and expert in small scale fisheries, Co - Management and Participatory Approaches for Fisheries Management, Development and Extensionism in coastal communities. My post-graduate academic studies was conducted in Japan, participating as a researcher in projects of economic and fisheries management in Thailand, Philippines, Korea and Japan.In Chile, my main task has been carry out research and development projects related to artisanal fisheries and small-scale aquaculture financed by national research funds such as the Fund for the Promotion of Scientific and Technological Development (FONDEF) Innova Chile - CORFO, SERCOTEC and other public funds.Presently, I've been working as a part of research team, to develop business models out of bioplastic from macroalgae provided by small scale farmers in Chile.Besides, due to my studies abroad and my participation in some projects I could establish international networks with Spain and Japan research centers. I am a member of the International Institute of Fisheries Economics and Trade (IIFET) University of Oregon) which I have participated in two conferences. During 2013 to 2015, I was invited as a consultant by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to conduct a training course for public personnel related to fisheries management, extensionism, and commercialization of products from small-scale aquaculture in El Salvador.
