Led product evolution and delivery. Changed internal Eng team and culture to that of a modern Global Eng development team. Accomplishments included excellent delivery of a very demanding new-generation Router and Switch Family for the Critical Infrastructure market. This company was a long-lived small company that exited with Belden acquisition. ROI for initial investors in the 8 to 10X range.

Led development of a large series of "Best-in-Class" products for the Telecom Market. Including embedded devices (realtime QoS) as well as Cloud-based products offered in a SaaS model. Ditech was best IPO in Silicon Valley when it went public. Eventually sold to Nuance with a excellent ROI for investors. Ditech products are considered by those "in the know" the Golden Standard for Voice Quality Enhancement, and are used in all the major carriers in the world (Verizon, ATT, Sprint, Vodaphone, Telefonica, Claro, etc. etc). All those products were done under my leadership.

Led development of Frame Relay, ATM and Serial and IP based systems. Brought to the company a major shift towards reuse and system's thinking, which resulted in a very large (5X, measured) improvement in productivity (more products/releases with less bugs in shorter time). Paradyne IPO produced a 10X return for investors (post purchase from AT&T by TPG)

The 2NCP project has the distinction of being the first very large project that used C++ in the world. It was also the first product using off-the-shelf HW in a main telecom system at AT&T (both aspects were truly revolutionary at the time). At the time of departure from AT&T my position was Architect of the Platform Subsystem (which was eventually used in multiple other very large projects). The team size was around 300 developers for the NCP project and over 1000 for the NNS project
