  Luis Silva is the CEO/Managing Director of Antonio J. Silva Lda Transportes e Logistica (AJS), Angola’s leading transportation and logistics company. Silva stands at the helm of the AJS business legacy that has been around for close to 40 years. The son of the original founder, Antonio J. Silva, is considered to be one of Angola’s top “new generation” of Angolan entrepreneurs having led the company in its regional and industrial expansion, and philanthropic endeavors.Having started his education at his family’s company when he was a child, Silva assumed the management of the Company in 2010. After his appointment, Silva immediately concentrated on AJS growth by adding 300 trucks to the Company’s fleet and hiring more than 350 additional employees. Previously, Silva served for two years in the company’s nascent Transports Department where he was responsible for the establishment of new business operations for the company’s logistics services. Among other accomplishments, he transformed the company’s recruitment efforts: coordinating with third parties to organize the recruitment, selection and training of staff.Luis is very involved in moving Angola forward, both through his volunteer work for local schools, and his commitment to educating the international community about what the country has to offer.
