Computer Engineer specialized in distributed systems and applications engineering. Concluding a master's degree in Software Engineering at University of Minho, I learned about several software engineering topics such as database management, programming languages, programming paradigms, and design patterns. Developed several academic projects using Haskell, C, Python, Java, and JavaScript languages, some storing data in a MySQL database. I have also learned React and developed my website (https://luissobral.vercel.app/), where you can get more information about me and my projects.This year, I participated in my largest project, a platform called MatchUp (https://matchup-tan.vercel.app/), that focuses on helping tournament organizers generate and advertise tournaments and display results. Project backend developed using Express.js with a MySQL Database. Frontend was developed using React.Recently, I worked as a Research Assistant at INESC TEC for six months, developing Simulation models for epidemic protocols using Python simulation tools. My working focus has always been on the backend as I love complex challenges and how they require a structured way of thinking. My priority is to learn more and continue to grow personally and professionally.
