Hi, my name is Luis Verduzco. I am a journalism student at the University of North Texas with a concentration in public relations and a minor in psychology, a mouthful, right?Growing up Latino, my family never really discussed the concept of mental health. Over time I learned more about it, and decided I wanted to advocate for more awareness on the topic. Becoming a therapist was not something I wanted to do, so I am happy that I found the world of public relations. I often find myself reposting content on social media that encourages readers to practice mindful thinking. That is why, after graduating in December 2024, I plan to use my strong social media and writing skills to work for a company that strives for a better tomorrow.
