Starting my career by joining the Benavente factory project was a remarkable and unique opportunity. Supporting the production line projects, the preparation of the factory floor and the overall renovation of the factory’s infrastructure I was introduced to the industrial environment. Gradually I was able to gain responsibilities and apply project management principles across those areas.Through continuous interaction with the multiple branches inside the production department I developed an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of each team, which has been key in becoming a well rounded professional.

In this internship I have been developing greatly my communication and management skills.By doing tours, workshops and presentations I have been in contact with the most diverse groups of people , ranging from pre-school kids to adults with engineering degrees and everything in between, these interactions have given me the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of a good presentation, and to practice them in different environments.The team management is put in rotation which lets us experience both sides of the coin and thus improve our interactions with the team.

In the group we work to promote and cultivate the naval engineering culture both inside and outside of Técnico.This is done by having a direct contact with students and through the organization of events directed at these. These events range from workshops, meetings with former students who are now in the industry, to events with a more social conotation. A special notice is given to the annual conference, being the biggest and most relevant, where influencing professionals from innovative companies are invited to give a presentation on the work developed and their carrer path.

Here I worked to make the connection between students and the school system, making sure every students rights and needs were met, managing conflicts and other situations. While serving I practiced and developed mainly my communication skills by constantly interacting with students, teachers and higher level university representatives.

Served as a sales person for a big telecommunication company. From door to door and with a client portfolio learned how to approach and create a relationship with potencial clients and how to develop and guide/assist older clients. Here I trained my abilities to present, explain and sell a product from the first contact, to the contract signing, to follow up and feedback. Worked with a team under the guidance of a general manager with high standards and goals to reach.
