Working as tooling designer for a multinational company, which is a world leader in extrusion process of sealing profiles, acting with greater intensity in the development of extrusion dies (rubber & plastic)and CFD analysis.The tools are used in the production of extruded profiles with high complexity, ranging from one to five different materials, and different types of carrier as stamped, rigid or sewn. The activities begin in the compensation of the client's drawing, aiming to minimize the external variables that will imply in the productive process, creation of the mathematical model using software (CAD, Solid Works) and computational analysis for better understand the material flow, working with the software (CAE, CFD Autodesk). The computational analysis is performed to understand the flow behavior between different materials inside the tool, adjusting the design until a stable flow is obtained, what minimize process variations. After the 3D model with the balanced flow, 2D drawings are generated contemplating all the technical information, from dimensional tolerances to specifications of materials and thermal treatments, always based on the ABNT standard, to be used as machining parameters and quality control.Finally, the follow adjustments and approval of the final parts are carried out together with internal engineers and customer qualities control.
