After 15 years of scientific research work in some of the most recognized laboratories in the area of organic chemistry, nanomedicine and materials science, Luiz F. Pinto decided to invest his knowledge in the creation of a Nutribiolite SL. The company has emerged with the aim of making top quality food supplements, based on the latest scientific progress, easily accessible to everyone.Previously he was working as Process Chemist at Albany Molecular Research Inc (AMRI) in Valladolid (Spain), being responsible for all the steps of the manufacturing of some steroid active ingredients (progesterone receptor antagonists, corticosteroids, progestin medications), from the laboratory optimization to the manufacturing plant. Before that, he was working as Postdoctoral Research Chemist at the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (Spanish Research Council), being awarded the prestigious 'Juan de la Cierva' fellowship. He was responsible for a project related with the preparation of hyperbranched polymers for applications in biosensors and free-metal contrast agent for clinical MR Imaging. He received his PhD with honors (Summa Cum Laude) as Organic Chemist at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). His PhD Thesis was awarded with the prize of the best thesis of 2014 by the NMR specialized group of the Real Spanish Society of Chemistry. His research work was focused on the synthesis of dendritic macromolecules and application of advanced NMR methods for ligand screening/drug discovery. He also holds a MSci and BSci in chemistry from the University of Porto (Portugal) where he worked on the synthesis of biopolymers for biomedical applications.
