Luka commenced his career within the Local Government sector as a Cadet Engineer. Luka held various roles within the Local Government engineering department working his way through to the position of Manager – Engineering Services, where he was responsible for leading the entire engineering department including survey and design, asset management, traffic engineering, road safety, development assessment and approvals and contract and project management.After 10 years within the Local Government sector, Luka moved into the private sector forming Kova Engineering & Design Pty Ltd specialising in civil engineering consulting services. Luka currently hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (Hons), Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Civil) and Bachelor of Business all obtained through Central Queensland University as well as Advanced Diploma and Diploma level qualifications in engineering, design and drafting.Luka is a Chartered Professional Member of Engineers Australia (EA) and a Registered Professional Engineer with BPEQ as well as being a member of the Institute of Public Works Engineers Australasia (IPWEA) and the Association of Professional Engineers Australia (APEA).
