András Lukács, geophysicist, is President of the Clean Air Action Group (CAAG, www.levego.hu), a national federation of Hungarian environmental NGOs. He has headed CAAG ever since its foundation in 1988. He is author or co-author of more than 60 studies and several hundred articles on economic instruments for environmental protection, transport and environment, energy and environment, and urban sprawl.He appeared several thousand times in the press, including radio and television. From 2005 until 2010 he was Vice-President of the European Section of the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP). Between 2006 and 2010 he was a member of the Hungarian Economic and Social Committee, representing Hungarian environmental NGOs. Between 2008 and 2014 he was Vice-President of the Steering Committee of Green Budget Europe (GBE), and from 2014 Board Member of GBE.
